Australia’s Health Revolution with Dr Michael Mosley
Renowned British science journalist Dr Michael Mosley is in Australia for his first landmark series, to tackle the nation’s fastest growing chronic disease: type 2 diabetes. Working with Indigenous exercise physiologist Ray Kelly, Michael puts his body on the line to demonstrate the latest science and to show just how quickly you can eat your way into, and out of, ill health.
The two join forces to help eight brave Australians reverse their type 2 diabetes with a radical, and for some, controversial approach, relying on a low-calorie, low-carb diet and lifestyle changes rather than medicine. As the participants push themselves, Michael and Ray push the powers that be to make a difference, taking their fight to the seat of power – Parliament House. Can they kick start a Health Revolution and empower a nation to take ownership of its health?

His wife Moira has played a huge part in his success as his creative counsel and manager. That is until now. Told through the eyes of his daughter Nia, the film explores the role reversal of Leon and his wife Moira who has always been his rock but now has Alzheimer’s. Don’t Stop The Music
The science is in – children who play a musical instrument do better academically and socially. But most Australian kids are missing out on this vital part of their education.
At Challis Community Primary School, in a disadvantaged suburb of Perth, Principal Lee Musumeci wants to introduce a state of the art singing and instrument program that she hopes will level the playing field. But the obstacles are huge.
Challis, like most public schools, has few instruments and virtually no money. Aided by some of Australia’s top musical educators and music superstars Guy Sebastian and James Morrison, the power of music begins to infiltrate the school. The climax is an inspirational concert where the kids are centre stage with Guy, James and other top musicians, and supported by students and teachers from the University of Western Australia Conservatorium of Music and Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
