Artemis International was formed in 1999 with the merging of two successful independent production companies, Reel Images and Tait Productions. With combined industry experience of more than thirty years, the two principals of Artemis, Celia Tait and Brian Beaton, were listed among the top twenty Australian documentary producers in a recent Encore survey and in 2003 Brian received the prestigious "Documentary Producer of the Year Award" from The Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA).

In June 2011 Brian Beaton was announced as Number 42 on Encore's Power 50 List. The list celebrates screen professionals that strive to new heights, whose decisions influence and shape Australia’s audiovisual industry and whose work has stood out from the crowd.

Artemis specialises in making factual programming including both series and one offs.
