Don't miss a special episode of Who Do You Think You Are?

Wednesday, August 31, 2016

We hope you can tune into this very special episode on Tuesday 6th September on SBS TV at 7:30pm.
“Who Do You Think You Are? Australia”  highlights  40 of the 48 episodes we've produced, revealing  the life changing impact the show had on many celebrities including, Adam Hills, Richard Roxburgh, Tina Arena, Kerry O' Brien and Magda Szubanski: “Interestingly, I think the program really impacted on my coming out".  Through the breadth of family stories that travel the globe and across centuries, a rich, surprising, funny and moving immigration history of Australia is revealed.

The series has been a smash hit on Australian TV for almost ten years. Celebrities have been transported across the globe and around the nation by plane, train, boat, horse and cart, tram, surfboard and pony. They've dodged cyclones, war zones and braved terrorist alerts.  And they've often been surprised at the intensity of emotion experienced while uncovering family skeletons.
We are immensely proud to have shared our storytelling with the nation on this very special documentary series, and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped bring it to the screen – not least the celebrities and their agents, the investors, the production team and crew, the archivists and family historians, family members, consultants and the many others who all played a part in its creation.

This documentary also serves as a fitting tribute to Executive Producer Brian Beaton who very sadly passed away earlier this year. Brian worked tirelessly across all episodes providing great leadership.

We hope you enjoy this final episode produced by Artemis International and Serendipity Productions.
